The probe tip, made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), withstands high temperatures and chemical exposure. Exposing the probe to temperatures below -34°C (-30°F) may cause premature failure of the pressure seal, so avoid such conditions. The probe sealing material is a Viton® O-ring, designed to seal differential pressure between the tip and case. Although probes are not pressure tested before shipment, contact the custom design department if testing is required.
