Mount the transducer using the provided plate stud (3/8-in 24 to 1/4-in 28) with a torque of 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m. The transducer can be mounted at any angle. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and flat (33 mm diameter minimum). Connect via the MIL-C-5015 interface; cable length can extend up to 305 metres (1,000 ft) using part number 02173006 without signal degradation. Polarity is critical: Pin A goes positive with respect to Pin B when velocity is from base to top. Grounding is internal, with electronics isolated from the case.
With no moving parts and a hermetically sealed 316L stainless steel case, the 190501-11-00-00 requires minimal maintenance. Periodic inspection of the cable and connector for damage is recommended. The transducer's temperature sensitivity is -8% to +5% typical over the operating range, ensuring stable performance. Its transverse response is less than 5% of axial sensitivity, and amplitude linearity is ±2% to 63.5 mm/s pk (2.5 in/s pk). These characteristics contribute to long service life and reduced total cost of ownership.
